About Me
I am originally from Nova Scotia and moved to BC over 10 years ago to pursue new opportunities. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminology, my Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, and am currently completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I work with both youth and adults and have experience treating and contributing to the healing of a range of difficulties and mental health diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma and PTSD, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, psychosis, substance abuse, and BPD.
Therapeutic Approach
I work through a trauma-informed and inclusive approach guided by evidence-based modalities. I consistently seek out new training opportunities to be able to provide my clients with as many clinically effective tools as possible, with a primary focus on a collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients, which is often one of the strongest factors in outcomes. I focus not only on what is distressing and problematic for my clients, but also on strengths and what is working and going well. I am known for creating a space that is safe, collabrative, compassionate, and client-centered and my goal is to provide clients with the tools they need to be able to manage the difficulties that come up in life independently.
